Here's what you need to know.
TechFest was set up to help students in high school get a taste of the technical world. With the help of The Northeast Indiana Technology Coalition, the NEITC works with a number of local business and schools to host this competition. The competition revolves around several STEM competitions. What is STEM? STEM is a collection of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math based curriculum all put together to help students get prepared for a career in a related field. Or sometimes just for fun.
Here's how the day will go down.
The schools will arrive around 9:00am on the day of the competition. After everyone arrives we distribute their nametags and t-shirts, schedules will be handed out aswell. Next everyone gathers for opening ceremonies and the keynote speaker gives their presentation. Then the assembly dismisses and the competitions start. Lunch will be served at some point during (provided with attendance) and there are are a number of activities for the students to do for those who arent in the competitions. Then the day will conclude with an assembly and awards, then dissmisal at 2:00pm.
