Here's what you need to know.
TechFest was set up to help students in high school get a taste of the technical world. The Northeast Indiana Technology Coalition, the NEITC works with a number of local businesses and schools to host this event. The event revolves around several STEM competitions. What is STEM? STEM is a collection of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math-based curricula all put together to help students get prepared for a career in a related field (Or sometimes just for fun).
What do you want to do?
Are you a Mathematician? Engineer? Scientist? Who knows, right? As a high school student you face a lot of uncertainty. We get it, and we are here to help. Whether you come to figure out what you want to do or if you are just exploring out of interest, we'll be here. We have a wonderful staff of volunteers, from all aspects of STEM-based careers, who are more than willing to talk to you about the real world and what they do for a living. So don't hold back from asking questions, get to know some new people! More importantly we want you to have a good time. Who says you can't get something useful out of a good time?
Awesome! You’re in luck then. TechFest has a number of things to do during the event that are all designed around the STEM mentality.
