Welcome!

TechFest is a community event for high school students, sponsored in a cooperative effort by the Northeastern Indiana Technology Coalition and local industry partners. The goal of TechFest is to promote Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics curriculum (S.T.E.M.) to demonstrate their place in local organizations and their respective fields.

The 11th annual TechFest took place on, November 22, 2021 and it was an excellent event! we had participation from 8 Northeastern Indiana High Schools and over 400 high school students. Participants will teamed up with their peers to compete in STEM based events; engineering in a box, mysteries of science, mathematical madness, capture the flag, cyber security challenge, programming challenge and think or sink to win the TechFest CUP for their school. These competitions strive to challenge participants to think outside of the box while working collaboratively towards a unified outcome. The teams will plan, build, and test various ideas within the constraints of a given event using Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) knowledge.

In addition to the CUP events, TechFest is comprised of MAP (Most Active Participants) events. The MAP events are individual events aimed towards personal development. TechFest hosts a College and Career Expo, where partners can come, set up booths and talk to students. In our low pressure casual environment, students can ask questions and gain an understanding of local STEM based industry and opportunities.

If this sounds like something you, your school, or company would like to get involved in, we would love to have you. Head over to the info page to read about the events and organization in detail.
